Removing spots can certainly be a problem, can't it? There are many old-fashioned remedies, plus new so-called "miracle products" on the market for removing spots, and I'm sure you have tried some of them just as I have. Complete success or satisfaction is not always the result, is it? Blood stains are about the most difficult to remove. What would you think if someone told you to use blood as a stain remover? You would probably laugh and think that was strange advice, wouldn't you? Well, because God always uses means contrary to our way of thinking and doing things, this is exactly His remedy for removing the ugly stains of my sins and your sins! First of all, God says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) Then He shows us that blood must be shed because of our sins: ". . .without the shedding of blood there is no remission." (Hebrews 9:22) Whenever God requires something, He also provides the means to carry out His command. Jesus Christ is God and man in one Person forever. He became a man in order to die for our sins, and He is the only one who is sinless. Because He is sinless, He only could please God the Father in bearing our sins in His own body on the cross over nineteen-hundred years ago. Before Jesus Christ came into the world as a sinless human being, certain animals were offered as sacrifices, according to God's law, but later God tells us, "For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins." (Hebrews 10:4) That was a picture used to teach people in the Old Testament times that the Son of God would come into the world, an innocent substitute, to die for the sins of the world. Now, when we look back to Jesus' work on the cross and put our faith in Him, we have everlasting life. The apostle Peter tells us "We were not redeemed (purchased) with corruptible things, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot." (I Peter 1:10) Have you been washed in the blood of the Lamb of God? There is no other way to be acceptable in God's sight, for Jesus Christ only is sinless, and only His death on the cross can wash away your sins! "FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE." (John 3:36)
